Open Fire Cooking Workshop

Whet your appetite for open fire cooking!  Enjoy a five course meal that you prepare throughout the day.  Learn about cooking and caring for cast iron cookware, various techniques, fire wood selection and curing, recipes, and more!
This workshop is open to anyone 12 years and older. Be sure to register early; space is limited to the first 25 paid registrants.

FUN-damentals of Beekeeping

Join us for a day collecting knowledge and nectar with our honeybee colonies!  Discover the value of these fascinating creatures and their significance  in our daily lives while learning how to maintain a hive of your own! 
 
Both hobby and professional beekeepers are sure to benefit from this day of instruction and exploration.  So, get ready for the gardening season and the spring nectar flow by catching the buzz about beekeeping!
 
Open to anyone over the age of 12.

Join us in celebrating Georgia's agricultural traditions during this annual fundraising event.  Centered around our 1800's Heritage Home site, history comes alive at this old-fashioned fall gathering.  The sights, sounds and aromas will tug at your senses as you enjoy music, storytelling, children's games, and talent show, traditional crafts, demonstrations, and much more!  We will be grinding sugar cane and making cane syrup as well as cooking copper kettle apple butter and a whole variety of open hearth recipes for you to sample.  The whole family will enjoy this unique southern fall celebration!  So, y'all come on over!

$7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children
